SEO, Web Marketing & PPC Specialist
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire, UK
Salary: circa £23k to £30k salary rate per annum, depending on skill, knowledge and experience

Needed from April 2012 initially for maternity leave cover, but with potential for a permanent position subsequently, Freetimers is looking for an experienced SEO and Web Marketing professional, ideally with client facing and account management experience, and from an agency or multi-client environment so you will have benefited from cross sector experience as well as broad exposure across all the main internet marketing disciplines.

You will have a good knowledge of how search engine optimisation works and the respective roles of on-site and off-site content, social media and link popularity, as well as pay per click and specifically Adwords. An Adwords qualification would be useful but is not required so long as you have sufficient practical experience. You will also be experienced in using web master tools and Google Analytics, including setting up goals and funnels and using A/B testing methods.

We seek an organised, methodical, goal seeking and self-motivated individual to develop and implement search engine relevancy and optimisation strategies on our clients' websites, and to monitor and enhance their positioning on a continuous improvement basis.

Competency in basic HTML, at least from an SEO point of view, is useful, and some knowledge of dynamic website programming using PHP/ASP would be advantageous. You will enjoy a challenge, have good knowledge of web marketing methods and how search engines work, and be involved with our web development team to ensure we are kept up to date with the latest requirements of Google and the other major search engines.

This is a key hands on role with excellent prospects for the right individual seeking to make an important contribution to this increasingly important area of our business.

This is a full time position, offering excellent career prospects. Very good written and verbal English is a requirement of the position, and you should enjoy talking with clients and presenting your ideas and the recommended strategies, and be persuasive when talking with business owners and directors. You will be skilled enough to be able to write articles and reports when necessary, and be competent with Excel, spreadsheets and working with and explaining report figures and statistics, capable of managing your own workload, driving your projects forwards, and contributing to the development of the department.
